Announces Name Change For Its Magnetics Division Tuesday July 19,2 pm PT |

SAN DIEGO—(Business Wire)—July 19, 2005—TACNA International Corporation, announced that effective today its magnetic component division will be renamed Schott Magnetics. Schott Magnetics is a leading manufacturer of magnetics component products and was previously known as TACNA Magnetics. In September 2003 TACNA acquired the North American operating assets of Schott Corporation. Among the assets acquired was the Schott name. “The marketplace sees value in our continuing to utilize the Schott name. Continuing utilization of the Schott name gives recognition to the 50-year legacy of products and dedicated employee base we acquired”, said Jeff Parker, Vice President Sales and Marketing. TACNA has stated that its customers may use either its corporate name TACNA or its division name Schott in their internal documentation and on approved vendor lists, as they see fit. Product marking will be with the Schott name for all future production. “Our intention is to make this as seamless as possible for our customers”, said Rob Rosi, President. |
